The 10 Famous Non-Human Astronauts
But non-human animals we mean here, not ghosts! The first question that comes to mind is why the animals sent to space? Perform the 'space of the animals originally were only trying manned space mission, first, services to test the space of life.
By Laika, the most famous non-human astronauts not only was the first dog to fly in space, but it's going to have touched the lives depended first. The rocket Sputnik 2 was made on November 3, 1957 but unfortunately died a few hours later because of overheating and stress. I can only begin to return safely to animals in the 1960s that the technology and the knowledge level was reached land.
Since the 1940s many countries had made several attempts to send space monkeys. Some failed and some success. In 1961, Ham has entered the space became the first Chimp. That year was one of the first to orbit the Enos the Chimp. The second type other than dogs, monkeys, animals that had often traveled to space.
A 1973 Skylab 3 mission before attacking Anita & Space in the European garden spiders named Arabella. The researchers wanted to find out how it had affected their strength build webs of spaceflights and weightlessness. This time period was observed on construction but surprisingly had a finer quality. Unfortunately, Anita Arabella & I both died because of dehydration but his body is now on display at the Smithsonian.
French is the beast of packing space is silent. After the mice, they decided to send the cat (Felix name) was launched into space in VĂ©ronique AGI rocket and closed in October 1963. Felix had returned safely. Felix rumors that ran just before a woman named Felicette launce cat that went to their place in it.
Turtle were to enter a space before the animals. In 1968, sent two turtles with the intention to send the Zond 5 spacecraft in deep space in the Soviet Union. Zond 5 was safe only suffered a slight weight loss as a loop around the moon before returning to Earth with turtles. Interestingly, turtles sent into space to spend most of the Soviet period by any animal for 90 days in 1974 to set a record in space.
In order to accumulate more data on otolith organ, a pair of mummichog fish was sent in 1973 on the spacecraft called Skylab 3. This particular kind was chosen for their ability to survive extreme condition and therefore these fishes were used in later space researches too. But over the years some other kinds have been sent in space like the swordtails, oyster toadfish, guppies, zebra danio et al.
NASA had sent two bullfrogs in space in 1970 under a programme called the Orbiting Frog Otolith (OFO). This was a research procedure to find out how otolith (which refers to a mechanism that controls equilibrium in the inner ear) would adapt to weightless ambience. The program was a success in terms of the right amount of data that researchers could manage to collect but the poor frogs were never recovered.
In 1985, Bion 7 mission was started with several animals, including moneys and 10 newts on board. The body in an attempt to get feedback on how education cuts in space, scientists had limbs cut off and removed before the poor Newts' lens. In space, they were able to regenerate faster than the Newts observed a significant trend. Newts last several years has been in space for several experimental purposes, for example in other Bion flights in 1995 and has been used on several occasion in Japan's Space Flyer Unit, Mir Space Station ET al.
On March 9, 1961the first guinea pig successfully invaded the space on the Soviet Sputnik 9 spacecraft along with a bunch of other animals (dog, reptiles & mice). About thirty years later in 1990, China launched a trip for 60 plants and some animals including guinea pigs on the biosatellite FSW-1 3, which had successfully returned home.
Since the 1950s, was made for the recovery of several attempts to mice into space and successfully. In 1950, was put on a flight Mouse V2 5th Board launches Albert series parachute recovery system has worsened the failed flight. The following year, in 1951, the 11 mice in the flight of US Aerobee missiles and which failed in 1958 when the three Americans die again under the mouse so I sent the 3 mice in the project. As they say, because of the resistance it will succeed is another effort in the lift-off in 1959. The lives of the 14 mice, the French space center after flying at an altitude of 93 in 1961 on a rat named Hector miles to return successfully. As the first rat space have visited Hector is now appreciated.
